Nonmotor symptoms can present before movement problems.

Some non-movement symptoms can occur before the earliest movement problems are detected. Researchers are aggressively studying this symptoms to learn more about the disease and to help with early detection.  Early detection will be important since treatment aimed at neuroprotection is under study.
